Vision Seeker: Inner Circle (Day 11)

When attempting to bring our visions or goals to life, it's important to consider those closest to us and how they impact manifesting our dreams. With that in mind, I drew a card for each of those closest to me—my son, my parents, and my boyfriend.

For my son, I pulled The Wheel. At his age, he's mostly self-sufficient, but when he needs something, he needs something. Often it requires budget changes or stopping everything to take care of his needs which can sometimes be disruptive to moving my personal goals forward. Obviously, that's how having a kid goes, and I just have to roll with it.

Argh, my parents. Love 'em, but I wasn't surprised when I pulled The Hanged Man for them. They tend to bring things to a halt and can't understand how they're impacting me... or my time. When I reach the point of impatience, I'm painted as the terrible person even though the reason I need to rush out the door is because the walk-in clinic my sick kid needs to go to closes at a certain time, I have a deadline to meet in order to have my work done for a class, or I'm simply trying to take care of household matters on the only day I have free.

Last but not least, I pulled a card for my boyfriend. I really wasn't sure what to expect when I went to pull a card for him, but once again I wasn't surprised. When I have things I need to take care of, he holds down the fort for me. He supports me in all of my pursuits, and always makes sure I'm well fed. I mean, it takes a lot of creative energy for me to do some things. Food is soul fuel. He also never thinks any of my ideas are terribly crazy—even when I asked if I could get a commissioned portrait of my cats.

For the most part, I think I have a good inner circle, and where there are some stifling forces I also have some positive forces to help balance.
